For Document Interpretation 2 in week three, I chose to analyze a letter written by Elizabeth Sprigs to her father about her life as an indentured servant in America. She appeals to her father's goodwill and love for her to persuade him to send clothing and other basic necessities, as it appeared through her writing that the two had somehow become alienated.
When I wrote this assignment, I hadn't properly planned out my time that past week and that weekend, and thus I posted it fairly late in the evening. Looking back, I definitely would change how I prioritized my time and the location in which I wrote it. I attempted to complete several assignments at home, a place that I know now that I cannot work productively. I have since developed several study spots where I know I am my most efficient, and this assignment assisted me in discovering them.
For my future projects, I recognize now that I really have to focus on my due dates and on developing solid study habits. Outside of class, I will have to minimize my distractions by doing at least these two things: (1) working in a setting where those distractions aren't available (e.g. in an area without Wifi) and (2) allowing myself a set amount of time for those distractions, but limiting myself to only that allotted time (i.e. being disciplined enough to exit distracting pages when I need to work).
